וַיְהִ֣י ׀ לִתְקוּפַ֣ת הַשָּׁנָ֗ה עָלָ֣ה עָלָיו֮ חֵ֣יל אֲרָם֒ וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ אֶל־יְהוּדָה֙ וִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וַיַּשְׁחִ֛יתוּ אֶת־כָּל־שָׂרֵ֥י הָעָ֖ם מֵעָ֑ם וְכָל־שְׁלָלָ֥ם שִׁלְּח֖וּ לְמֶ֥לֶךְ דַּרְמָֽשֶׂק׃
Decorrido um ano, o exército da Síria subiu contra Joás; e vieram a Judá e a Jerusalém, e destruíram dentre o povo todos os seus príncipes, e enviaram todo o seu despojo ao rei de Damasco.

Because of that, they were paid in kind: the army of Aram came and destroyed all the princes of the people.
